I’m pleased to announce that I, TommyPom, have been appointed the Mayor of New York Dog City.
Tommy and Mike B really hit it off, obvs. TommyPom for President!
I’d vote for him.

The Walking Dead Valentine’s Day Cards. Just in time.
Send a Valentine’s Day card to the walker of your dreams! These Walking Dead inspired Valentine’s Day cards are amazing!!! The Walking Dead is one of my favorite shows! It is seriously amazing & don’t even get me started on the makeup! Seriously… soo good!!! I can’t wait to watch the season premiere!
Nothing more romantic than zombies.
This is super-late, and a little sloppier than my other playlists, but here are some “Big Apple Tunes” for Zoe, who seems to be in love with this little city of mine :-)
It starts out pretty mellow, lots of acoustic stuff, but I made sure that it ended onan upbeat note. I wasn’t too thrilled with the selection of songs out there that have NYC as a subject, but I’m glad that some of my favorite artists paid homage to my hometown, including: The New Pornographers, Belle & Sebastian, Rufus Wainwright, Matt & Kim, and The Black Keys.
Maybe my next playlist will be some songs for walking around the city? Not directly NYC-related, but capturing the moods of the different neighborhoods.
Clearly, I take my playlist-making very seriously.

Are you ready for fashion week? Or I should ask, are your social media accounts ready? Here are the blogs, magazines and people you should be following to make sure you don’t miss a single moment.
Teen Vogue: They’re serious about their fashion week coverage. Follow them on Twitter and Tumblr. Also be sure to follow editors Eva Chen, Jane Keltner deValle and Naomi Nevitt for backstage and runway pictures.
Refinery 29, The Cut, Styleite and Fashionista.com: If you’re a serious fashionholic you probably read these blogs anyway, but make sure you follow them on Twitter for up to the moment happenings.
Style.com: If you missed a show, don’t fret, style.com posts every single look from every designer. They also post pictures of the front row, hair & makeup looks and detailed clothing shots for the major designer shows.
Jamie Beck: My favorite fashion photog (as well as one of OscarPRGirl’s). She posts the most gorgeous runway photos on her Tumblr.
Lucky: I don’t know how they do it but they seem to be all over fashion week posting photos from every single show. Hats off to them. For a little comic relief, follow Lucky editor John Jannuzzi. His tweets are harder to keep up with than the damn Kardashians (I think his phone is glued to his hands), but they’re worth a good laugh.
Modelinia: You know the people who actually wear the clothes down the runway-yeah they’re called models. They’re kind of a big deal, aside from the actual clothes.
BellaSugar: Everything hair, makeup and beauty related. Want to know what hairspray they used at BCBG? They’ll let you know.
